Destination Duluth 2014

What a fun and festive 4th of July with our dear friends Holly, Dave, & Teala.  Lots of lazy time and talk in the living room while soaking in the breathtaking view of Lake Superior, Gordon Ramsey infused meals and musings, giggly girls, Park Point Beach, a scenic chatting-drive up the shore for Holly, Nat, and our sleeping beauties while the Daddies drank some local brew, a 360 degree round of appetizers atop The Radisson, and a Birdseye view of all kinds of North Shore fireworks displays.  Boom!  A perfect retreat in great company.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well, Christmas 2013 is officially underway at Chez Lu!  We enjoyed an idyllic December 1st together as a family of three!  First, donuts downtown at Glam Doll...where Tillie spied a PINK Christmas tree!  Then it was off to find a Douglas Fir to call our own...turns out there's 'no place like Home Depot' to get all the trimmings AND the tree!  Tillie had the excitement of the season about her all day. We had a private showing of the, 'Elf on the Shelf' movie (thanks to a surprise visit from Cousin Stella) and our Elf (named, "Miss Mousie") found a spot to make her big debut on our Advent calendar!  It was a banner day...the kick off to a festive holiday season, to be sure! HO-HO!
